In a vision, I saw a running track with hurdles placed in various lanes in no particular array. The hurdles had red diagonal stripes, much like a warning road block or barrier. I knew that if the runners did not clear the hurdles in their lane and keep advancing forward, that the hurdle would become a barrier and completely stop their forward progress.

Real life issues - perceived and funneled through past experience and logic - can create hurdles as we run our race.

Have you ever encountered anything that you just couldn't seem to get past? Perhaps the hindrance was what the apostle Paul referred to as a
stronghold - a belief that is based on our own understanding and is actually contrary to God's truth . In other words, anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God as we read in 2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV.

How do you displace a stronghold? The answer is simple. Replace it with the truth.

I like how The Message translation says it :
We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity. (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

Don't allow your hurdles to become barriers. HE has given us everything we need to clear every hurdle we encounter and finish the race! Thank You Jesus!

What's in your hands?

Are your hands open - holding those things you are carrying up to The Father, giving Him full access? Or are your hands closed - clenching, holding on, withholding - handling it your way?

Perhaps you are carrying a vision that God has birthed in your heart. Perhaps you have picked up a burden that you have chosen to carry, but is not really yours to carry at all. Or perhaps you are carrying the cares of today......Whatever it is you are carrying, you hold it in your hands.

Whenever you have questions, doubts or uncertainites, when things happen that bring delays, grief or hardship - it's time to ask yourself:

W.H.Y.?

Just remember
Who's Holding You. Make sure you're in the right hands!

W.H.Y.
Isaiah 46:4 (New Living Translation)

I will be your God throughout your lifetime—
until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.
I will carry you along and save you.
